Chickens & Eggs
Our Egg Layers.
We currently run a mixed flock of brown and white egg layers that have been PT tested. We are moving toward a pure Turken operation, as this breed is very hardy and lays a beautiful brown egg. They are also a dual purpose breed raised not only for egg supply, but for meat as well. Turkens are a very unique looking chicken and many people think they are a chicken/turkey cross breed. Turkens tolerate the Texas heat and winter weather well and have less feathering making them easier to pluck.
